Home sweet home for 2 weeks now
Well I’ve been keeping Mom & Dad busy. Did you know that newborns make such a wide array of odds sounds? Sometimes I sound like a baby pterodactyl. Maybe my cousin Aiden will know what I’m saying because of his extensive knowledge of dinosaurs?
Sorry to have missed Mary’s visit — I hear it was a fun time.
Below are some of the latest photos and a cute video of me getting my swaddle on at the hospital. Love you you all — Ruby.
Day 23
The word on the street is that I might be going home Monday evening. Good thing, too, because my cuteness is starting to annoy the other babies.
Day 22
Mom and dad pitched in on my bath today. They have to learn this stuff sooner or later cause I’m not going to bath myself!
I like getting nice and clean, especially when the nurses crank up the heater and make my bed all toasty and warm.
Three weeks old
I’m three weeks old today and 36 weeks gestationally. This was around the time I was supposed to be delivered, but I just couldn’t wait. I started an OCR test this evening to see if I’m ready to come home–which is why I’m wearing another face piece. Can’t wait to be done with all these wires! Anyway, at least I know I am in the home stretch and will be in my own bed very soon.
Day 19
Day 18
Quite a busy day! Several visits from Moms, Grandma and Grandpa stopped by and then Dad put me to bed for the night. I’m bottle feeding 4 times a day and they say when it’s all 8 feedings it’s time to go home. I’m now 4lbs. 11 ounces and look unbelievably adorable in my flowery onesie. My nursery is really coming together. Love you all oodles (as Meme would say).
Day 17
Day 16
I’m moving up to three bottles a day now and still trying out the breast feeding thing. The docs say I might get to go home in 7-10 days. Can’t wait. I hear Mommy and Daddy have been fixing up my room and getting things ready. The doctors put a cute little bow in my hair this morning to remind everyone what a sweet princess I am.
