Ruby Richman Simental

I’m three weeks old today and 36 weeks gestationally. This was around the time I was supposed to be delivered, but I just couldn’t wait. I started an OCR test this evening to see if I’m ready to come home–which is why I’m wearing another face piece. Can’t wait to be done with all these wires! Anyway, at least I know I am in the home stretch and will be in my own bed very soon.

They say I could go home very soon!

I’m up to 4 bottle feedings a day now and I’m finishing them in about 20 minutes.  The nurses moved me up to a standard bottle, too, so I have to work a little harder, but it’s more like the real thing. Good practice for me!

Quite a busy day! Several visits from Moms, Grandma and Grandpa stopped by and then Dad put me to bed for the night. I’m bottle feeding 4 times a day and they say when it’s all 8 feedings it’s time to go home. I’m now 4lbs. 11 ounces and look unbelievably adorable in my flowery onesie. My nursery is really coming together. Love you all oodles (as Meme would say).

I’m 4 and a half pounds today. Here’s a picture of me doing one of my favorite things in the whole world. Sleeping!

I’m moving up to three bottles a day now and still trying out the breast feeding thing. The docs say I might get to go home in 7-10 days. Can’t wait. I hear Mommy and Daddy have been fixing up my room and getting things ready. The doctors put a cute little bow in my hair this morning to remind everyone what a sweet princess I am.

I’m two weeks old today. Mommy was able to bottle feed me today and we even tried some breast feeding. Mommy and Daddy came by later in the evening and read me some silly nursery rhymes. I don’t know much about music yet, but I think they’re not very good singers. I was still music to my ears

I did some exercises with the nurse this morning. It was kind of like jumping jacks but without the jumping. I’m up to 2 bottle feedings a day now and I’m getting pretty good at it.  Last night I finished a whole bottle all by myself!

I’m just over 4 pounds now. The doctors have popped the lid on my bed, too. I don’t need the lid any more because I’m maintaining my own body temperature like a big girl.

Today I have been trying my hand at taking it easy. Turns out, I’m a natrual!
